BAFTA nominated director and writer David Schneider has enlisted celebrities including Scarlett Moffatt, Jimmy Carr, Rio Ferdinand, Big Narstie, Sir Sir Chris Hoy, Blake Harrison, Jane Horrocks, Nicola Coughlan, Tamzin Outhwaite, Steve Backshall, and Sir Sir Tony Robinson, to co-star in a comedy film campaign celebrating The National Lottery's 25th birthday.
The film, titled What Has The National Lottery ever done for us?, parodies the iconic ‘What have the Romans ever done for us?’ scene from Monty Python’s Life Of Brian, and the script 'highlights the extraordinary ways' in which The National Lottery charity has contributed to good causes in the UK since 1994. Carr commented 'I did this because I thought The National Lottery might let me win. No such luck. Turns out The National Lottery do a lot for good causes, but despite that I still like them'.
